Symbolism
One of my main goals as an artist is to create something that will make anyone stop and think. If I can make my work resonate on any level I have succeeded. I am not alone in my expression and I hope someone can see themselves in what I have manifested. With that being said, I appreciate any type of reflection upon them. However, I find myself experimenting with life in death in a memento mori and memento amoris type of way. Hence my passion of skeletons. I find it fascinating that many living creatures all share a similar structure that carries them through life. We are all beautiful in life but also in death. I also thoroughly enjoy the language of flowers. Every flower even plant has their own specific meanings and I find it exciting to tie them into my pieces.
This is a very general commentary on my work, and it varies from piece to piece. Everybody has their own way of reading artwork, and this is not intended to change perspective. I chose not to dive heavily into specific meanings because I don't want my intentions to be the only ones possible. If there are any questions or desires to discuss anything in depth I would absolutely love to engage, feel free to contact me!
